Solar Jobs Market Powers On!

As we approach the mid-point of 2015 it is a good time to reflect on developments within the Solar jobs market since the turn of the year.

 

It has certainly been a busy time for many renewables businesses and, as a result, we have seen a record number of enquiries as companies look to expand with the addition of high calibre, market-experienced candidates.

 

Easily the biggest recruitment need has been for electrically qualified Solar PV Project Managers. 2015 has clearly seen a huge up-turn in demand for commercial roof-top systems and companies have hurried to swell their teams with people who can deliver projects on time, to spec and within budget.

 

In an industry that see’s so much business from referrals and word of mouth it is absolutely key that jobs are completed to client satisfaction. With that in mind it is no wonder why so many renewables companies have acted quickly to attract experienced PV Project Managers who can really make a difference to the successful delivery of high quality systems.

 

As we edge closer to the summer (not that I would know that when looking out of the office window!) we now see businesses taking a closer look at the pipeline for the next few months. This has led to a flurry of recruitment for Commercial Solar PV Business Development Managers to ensure orders for the latter part of the year and into 2016.

 

There is a big appetite within the industry to take advantage of, what is, a growing market with regards the commercial roof-top space and again companies are acting now by expanding their sales functions with professional B2B salesmen with a proven track record in commercial PV.

 

There seems to be a lot of positivity with regards Solar at the moment. The sheer number of vacancies in the market speaks volumes for how busy things are. There is still a long way to go before the Solar industry can stand on its own two feet but all the signs point to positivity and increased confidence which can only be a good thing. Long may this continue.
