Electrical Safety is the Hot Topic At Engineer Forum

The subject of electrical safety was underlined by various speakers at the Authorising Engineer Forum in Easingwold, York in December last year.

A full day of presentations were conducted by industry leaders from organisations such as Electrical Safety Management, Costain, ROOTS Original, Lucy Electric and more.

The occurring theme of the presentations was the concept of quality leading to safety. Recommendations for suitable personal protective equipment (PPE) were distributed along with practical case studies analysing the human factor in relation to electrical safety.

Danny Murphy, from the eight2O Capital Programme continued proceedings by highlighting the mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation (MEICA) management issues working on behalf of Thames Water.

Employers from the M&E world are at the forefront of demonstrating the importance of safe systems at work, and events such as the Authorising Engineer Forum are central to broadcasting this message.
